Are you contracted in to Medical Aid?
No, patients need to settle directly and then claim from their Medical Aid themselves.
Are you open on Saturday?
No.
Do you do teeth whitening?
Yes, it is an in-surgery treatment consisting of 2 by 15 minutes application of light activated whitening gel.
How old should a child be at their first dental check-up?
3 – 4 years old.
Is a cleaning painful?
We take great care in order to minimise the pain, but at times it can be painful.
Do I have to have an injection?
Not always, some procedures are easily done without local anaesthetic.
Do you extract wisdom teeth?
No, you will be referred to a Maxillo-Facial surgeon for that procedure.
How much does a filling cost?
It’s very difficult to say as it depends which tooth it is and how many surfaces need replacing.
How do you keep your patients safe?
- Hand sanitiser in reception for use on entry and exit
- Use of overshoes and mopcaps
- Use of washable drapes during treatment procedures
- All surfaces including doorhandles are sanitised between each patient
- Use of air filters during aerosol generating procedures
- Sterile packaging and autoclaving of all instruments and drills after single use
- We open back sliding doors and front door whenever possible to get fresh air flowing through the suite
